Hello, I am about to take the Aleks math placement test, will these types of questions appear in the test, because my math is terrible ☹

Mr Mario, at 11:09 you do the proportions incorrectly to my knowledge. If the scale factor is 8/3 and the perimeter is 12, then when you multiply you should be ending up with 32, not a fraction. Am I correct?

See that’s the problem with some teachers. 2 x 48…. EXPLAIN where you get the 48? We know it’s half of 96, WHY do you split it into 2 sections? Each step needs more explanation otherwise kids just won’t get it

Calculators exist, in my 10 years of engineering I have never done have without one. If you do math by hand the chance of an error is greatly increased.

What if you want to know how many combinations are possible with all of the items? What if you have 5 ice cream flavors and you choose 5? Wouldn't that just end up being 1?

Can we use the same formulae for an irregular polgon based pyramid e.g a rectangular pyramid

Since a 2d point can have a total measure of 360 degree. Doesn't it mean in 3d space we can have a total of 360 x 360 degree square measure for any given point?

Great explanations on the whole process here. I prefer a minor variation of this method where you never move the constant to the side with y and therefore y remains by itself the entire time. It's kind of like how when I have x/3 = 4/5 I prefer to just multiply both sides by 3 to get x = 12/5 compared to the method where you cross-multiply to get 5x = 12 and then divide to get x = 12/5.
